Timothy Carr

Timothy E. Carr, 53 of Jacksonville passed
away Friday November 6, 2009 in Columbus. He
was born December 25, 1955 in Nelsonville. He
was Chief of the Nelsonville Fire Department
station 20. He was a member of the Athens
Paramuthia Masonic Lodge #25 F&AM, Glouster
Moose, Corning Eagles, Nelsonville Elks Lodge,
and he was a social member of the Nelsonville,
Jacksonville, and The Plains V.F.W.

He is survived by one son, Timothy Christopher
(Kelly Lowery) Carr of Jacksonville; one
daughter, Carletta Carr of Jacksonville; two
grandchildren, Alexis and Travis Carr; his
parents, Bobby and Shirley Bycofski Carr of
Jacksonville; one sister, Shirley (Dave
McElfresh) Carr of Jacksonville; his
companion, Sandy Bickley; one niece Ashley
(Thomas) Beaver; one nephew, Jesse Congrove; a
great niece, Lilly Beaver; special friends,
Norm and Shawna Bickley, Deb and Eric Riley,
Nick and Peggy Milhoan, Brad and Penny Lowry,
and all his friends from Nelsonville and other
area fire stations.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony
and Todd Carr; a grandson, Cameron T.;
maternal grandparents, Mike and Esther
Bycofski; paternal grandparents,
Warren "Pistol" and Ruth Carr.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on
Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Bishopville
Church of Christ. Friends may call at the
church from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Immediately following the service, there will
be a dinner held at the Jacksonville Fire
Department. Interment will take place at a
later date in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery.
