Ronald E. Snyder, 61, of Glouster passed away
Saturday November 19, 2005 at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1944 in Durham, NC. He
was the son of the late Richard "Dick" and
Florence H. Lankas Snyder.
He served in the United States Air Force from
1962 to 1966 during which time he had several
accomplishments, including Airman of the
Month. He was a 1962 graduate of J.T. High
School, where he was the valedictorian of his
class. He was a graduate of Ohio State
University where he received a Bachelor's
Degree in Biological Sciences. He was employed
by Battelle Memorial Institute since 1967,
where he obtained many honorable positions and
titles. Through Ron's lifetime, he touched and
improved many lives and acquired a countless
number of life long friends. Ron was a man
that everyone could learn from. He was a firm
believer that anyone has the ability to better
themselves. Ron was a very proud and active
father and also enjoyed working with other
children in the community. Ron was well known
by the kids and parents in the Trimble Township
Youth League for his coaching and support on
and off the field. Among Ron's accomplishments
in life, he wrote a book on his life
experiences of raising a family
entitled "Memories, Lessons, and Advice, a
guide to parenting issues." He was also an
avid hunter. Ron was respected and well loved
and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years,
Patricia Young Snyder; 4 sons, Steven, Jason,
Christopher, and Timothy Snyder all of
Glouster; 2 brothers, Tom Snyder of Glouster
and John Snyder of Augusta, GA; and 1 sister,
Sue Hamilton of Zanesville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by 2 brothers James "Lefty" and Richard Snyder.
A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m.
on Wednesday at the Bishopville Church of
Christ with Tim Seevers officiating. Friends
may call at the Bishopville Church of Christ on
Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of
service. Arrangements are by the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A
