Romona “Mona” Taylor, 62, of Glouster, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born June 19, 1963, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late James and Thelma Marshall Congrove. Romona was a caring person who opened her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. Over the years, she helped raise many children. She was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals.
She is survived by children, Jonah Taylor, Brittany Pryor, and William Sprouse; a granddaughter, Willow Taylor; a brother, Kenny Congrove; and a sister, Starr Hopkins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Congrove.
Mona’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
