Robert Morrison Obituary

Robert L. Morrison, 82 of Trimble passed away
Thursday January 25, 2007 at the Arthur James
Cancer Hospital, Columbus. He was born
January 20, 1925 in Guysville. He was the son
of the late Alva and Sarah Cochran Morrison.
He was the husband of the late Ruth Ann Cary
Morrison. He was a member of the Trimble
Masonic Lodge #557, and attended the Glouster
United Methodist Church. . He was a Sergeant
in the Army Air Corps during World War II
where he was a crew chief for the P-51
Mustangs. He owned and operated Morrison's
Grocery in Jacksonville, operated Dock #1 at
Burr Oak Lake, was past President of the
Trimble Local School Board, was an auditor for
the JOBS program for the state of Ohio, and
was also a real estate broker. Bob also
enjoyed reading and gardening.

He is survived by a son, David (Debbie)
Morrison of Newark; 2 daughters, Suzi (Jim)
Mingus of The Plains, and Mary (Bill) Bert of
Lancaster, Pa.; grandchildren, Matthew
(Terrell), Jennifer, Michael, Adam, Sean,
Craig, Donald, Jenny, Penny, and Sherry;
several great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-
law, Rachel Radcliff Morrison.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded
in death by a son, Dan Morrison; 2 brothers,
Harold (Alberta) and Cedric (Virginia)
Morrison; and a sister, Marjorie (Andy)
Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Tuesday January 30, 2007 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery,
Glouster where there will be a military
graveside service conducted by the Combined
Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the
funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. where
there will be a Masonic Service held at 7:30
p.m. Contributions may be made to the Trimble
Local Textbook and Supplies Foundation, c/o
