Richard E. Morris, 79, of Glouster passed away
Wednesday March 23, 2005 at the Mount Carmel
East Hospital, Columbus. He was born May 23,
1925 in Glouster. He was the son of the late
Earl A. and Irene Boling Morris.
He was the owner and operator of the Morris
Sohio Station in Glouster. He was an Army
World War II Veteran where he received two
purple hearts. He was a member of the
Glouster Church of Christ, and Athens American
Legion Post #21.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Margaret Chapman Morris of Glouster; 2 sons,
Gregg E. (Kimberly S.) Morris of Gahanna, and
John R. (Barbara) Morris of Londonderry; 1
daughter, Jane Lynn (Thurlin T.) Maynard of
The Plains; 12 grandchildren; 8 great
grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death
by one brother Max E. Morris.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday March 26, 2005 at the Glouster Church
of Christ with Tim Seevers and Caleb Christman
officiating. Interment will be in the
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster where there will
be a Military Graveside Service conducted by
the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may
call at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-
Bishopville on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the
service at the Church. Contributions can be
