Ralph Byers Obituary

Ralph N. Byers, 81 of Sagamore Hills passed
away June 5, 2007 at the Brentwood Health Care
Center in Sagamore Hills. Born November 6,
1925 in Alliance, he was the son of the late
Ralph E. and Edith K. Newton Byers. He was a
World War II and Korean Navy Veteran. He
graduated from Indiana University and was a
retired Maple Heights High School Teacher. He
was an avid tennis player.

He is survived by his wife, Billie L. Wells
Byers of Sagamore Hills; 3 sisters, Virginia
(Sid) Judy of Youngstown, Evelyn Stump of
Kent, and Carol (Vincent) Johnson of Florida;
and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by a brother-in-law Bob Stump.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Saturday June 9, 2007 at the Maplewood
Cemetery, Glouster with John Wright
officiating where there will be a military
graveside service conducted by the combined
color guard unit. Contributions can be made
to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359
Broadway, New York, NY 10018. Arrangements
are by the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-
Bishopville. A comforting message may be sent
