Neva L. Lantz

Neva L. Lantz, 93, of Trimble, passed away
late Tuesday night, January 16, 2007 at
O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, with
family members near her.

Born October 5, 1913, she was the daughter of
the late Isaac Eddy and Rhoda Pearl Gift
Lantz. She attended the former United
Methodist Church in Trimble.

Neva was co-owner and operator of Lantz's
Beauty and Barber Shop in Trimble for nearly
fifty years. She and her sister, Minnie,
worked together at the beginning of her
career, along with her father, Ed, and
brother, Worthel.

Neva is survived by her sister, Minnie
Chadwell of Falmouth, KY; her brother, Rex A.
Lantz of Norwalk; nieces, Clarys Deem of
Zanesville, Judith Hall of Trimble, Lois Jean
(Terry) Dugan of Jacksonville and Donna (Rich)
Messick of Falmouth, KY; and dear friend
Darlene (Chuck) McCall of Athens. Many
special great and great-great nieces, nephews
and friends, whom she loved and encouraged
while maintaining an active role in their
lives, also survive her.

Besides her parents, her brother,
Worthel "Boone" Lantz, an infant brother,
Willard Lantz and a sister Edra P. Williams
preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with
Pastor Deborah Koons officiating. Interment
will be in Sands Cemetery, Trimble. Friends
may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to
