Marilyn McClellan, 62, of Columbus, formerly of Glouster, passed away July 16, 2026, at OSU East in Columbus. Born November 14, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth J. and LaDonna V. Whaley McClellan.
Marilyn worked as a hairdresser and bartender in local establishments, where she was well known for her caring nature. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including gardening, singing—she was lovingly described as a “rock & roll girl”—cooking, and enjoying a cup of coffee. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Catrina Cravath and Launna Harris; and very special friends, Dianne Whaley and Linda Zimmer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, B.J. Burdette and LaDonna Burdette; brothers, Kenneth Paul McClellan Sr. and Jackie Lee McClellan.
A cremation for Marilyn has taken place and there will be no services observed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
