Madolin Rankin Obituary

Madolin M. Rankin, 92 of Chauncey passed away
Friday February 27, 2009 at O'Bleness Memorial
Hospital, Athens. Born January 1, 1917 in
Millfield, she was the daughter of the late
Walter and Grace Border. She retired from the
United States Postal Service.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years,
John Rankin of Chauncey; one son, John (Sue)
Rankin of Chauncey; five granddaughters,
Sherry Rankin of Albany, OH, Sandra (Keith)
Baker of Boca Raton, FL, Salena (Dave) Bobo of
Millfield, Susie (Joe) Pavicic of Nashville,
TN, and Sally (John) Butcher of The Plains;
ten great grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, and
Amanda Phillips, David, Joseph, Christopher,
and Matthew Bobo, Brandi, Cori, and Codi
Butcher; and one brother, Charles (Angela)
Border of Alabama.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by four brothers, Willard, Jack, Vern and Tom
Border; and two sisters, Phyllis Dawley and
Virginia Wilcox.

Madolin's wishes were to be cremated and there
will be no services observed. Arrangements
are by the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-
Bishopville. A comforting message may be sent
