Larry A. Sayre, 59, of Jacksonville passed
away Tuesday June 21, 2005 at his residence.
He was born October 2, 1945 in Athens County.
He was an Army National Guard Veteran, a
member of the Jacksonville Eagles #1034, a
member of the Glouster Eagles #468, a member
of the Murray City American Legion Post #420,
and he was a social member of the Jakcsonville
V.F.W. Post #9866. Larry was a motorcycle and
car racing enthusiast.
He is survived by his mother Frances Judson
Sayre of Jacksonville; 2 sons Michael
(Kristin) Sayre of Athens, and Steven Sayre of
Murray City; 1 grandson Seth Allan Sayre of
Amanda; 1 brother Bob (Frances) Sayre of
Jacksonville; 1 sister Jo (Jerry) Taylor of
Columbus; and a host of relatives and friends
whom he cared a lot for.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry
A. Sayre; a niece Terri Helsel; and a great
nephew Andrew Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Saturday June 25, 2005 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rev. Hal
Keeton officiating. Interment will be in the
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. An Eagles Service will be held
Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A
