Kevin A. Iseman, 39 of Athens passed away
peacefully on Saturday February 23, 2008 at
his residence surrounded by his family. He
was born January 24, 1969 in Washington, PA.
He attended Washington Christian School, Grace
Bible Christian School, and Trinity High
School. He successfully completed the Hocking
College Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
He served in the 3rd Infantry Division in the
U.S. Army, was a former Glouster Police
Officer, and he was the former Murray City
Police Chief. Kevin was an avid Pittsburgh
Steelers fan. His favorite pastime was
volunteering with and coaching the Alexander
youth football team. He was a member of the
Alexander Youth Football Board.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Y. Smith
Iseman of Athens; a son, Jacob R. Iseman of
the home; a daughter, Kourtney J. Iseman of
the home; his mother, Doris Iseman of
Washington, PA.; a brother, Mark A. Iseman of
Washington, PA.; 2 brothers-in-law, Mickey
(Rhonda) Smith of Athens, Ryan (Stephanie)
Smith of Northern Ohio; 2 sisters-in-law,
Michelle (John) Canter and Amy (Mike) Russell
both of Murray City; a mother-in-law, Janet
Wright of Chesterhill; 9 nephews; one unborn
nephew; 6 nieces all of whom he adored;
several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends;
his youth football team; and his dog crash.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde
McFall; grandparents, Raymond and Alice Lyle;
and a brother-in-law, Jack Seeber.
The family would like to extend a special
thank you to the Appalachian Community
Hospice, the nurses in the O'Bleness I.C.U.,
Dr. Carin, Dr. Presutti, and to all their
friends and the community for all their
support.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Wednesday February 27, 2008 at the New Life
Assembly of God Church in Athens, with Pastor
Philip Foster officiating. Interment will be
in the Salem Cemetery, Murray City where there
will be a military graveside service conducted
by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may
call at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-
Bishopville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
