Karen Elaine (Jenkins) Washington

Karen Elaine Washington, 80 of Glouster passed away Saturday June 15, 2024, at her residence.  Born November 29, 1943, in Glouster, she was the daughter of the late Robert Norman and Mary Lucille Palmer Jenkins.  She was a member of the Glouster Baptist Church.  She enjoyed going to yard sales and thrift shopping. 

She is survived by three sons, Mark Jenkins, Curtis Washington, and Stacy Washington, all of Glouster; three daughters, Lisa Washington, Debbie Washington, and Roberta (Jeremy) Smith, all of Glouster; grandchildren, A.J., Robbie, Cieara, Tabby, Justice, Aiden, Noah, Jayva, Jibreel, Jaleesa, Darius, Julia, Joseph, Chantel, James, and Gage; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Holmes and Faye Mayle; and special friends, Linda Spain and Mary Morris.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Washington; a grandson, Jeremy; and brothers, Bill, Bob, and Paul Jenkins.

A cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.morrisonfc.com.
