June Antle, 74 of Jacksonville passed away
Tuesday February 24, 2009 at her residence.
Born August 24, 1934 in Athens County, she was
the daughter of the late William and Daisy
West Hammond. She was a member of the
Jacksonville Eagles and a life member of the
Jacksonville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her companion of 26 years,
Jerry Brown; one son, Bill (Jody McGee) Antle
of Nelsonville; three daughters, Ladona (Jim
Niggemeyer) Wiblin of Jacksonville, Tamra
(Mike) Bohlen of Glouster, and Johna (Michael)
Benjamen of Columbus; two step children, Jerri
K. (Travis) Brown of Stewart and Shannon
(Glenda) Brown of Glouster; 21 grandchildren
and step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren
and step great grandchildren; two brothers,
Belford "Sonny" Hammond of Columbus and Eugene
Hammond of Lancaster; and a special niece,
Rhonda Westerviller.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by a grandson, Andrew Bateman; a son-in-law,
Cy Rockhold; seven brothers, Earl, Pearl,
Raymond, Delbert "Jum", Sylvester, Billy, and
Leo "Kie" Hammond; six sisters, Helen, Millie
and Donna Hammond, Florence Reynolds, Doris
Sanders, and Margaret "Faye" Tolliver.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Thursday February 26, 2009 at the Concord
Cemetery, Millfield with Pastor Larry Swart
officiating. Arrangements are by the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
