Judy A. Pugh, 88 of Glouster passed away Tuesday December 23, 2025, at Kimes Nursing and Rehab Center, Athens. Born May 1, 1937, in Amesville, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Nellie Ball Smith. Judy found great joy in antiquing. She also enjoyed visiting yard sales. In addition to her love for antiques and yard sales, Judy took great pride in tending to her flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Reba (Marty) Unger of Kingston and Rita (Rob) Miller of Glouster; grandchildren, Erin (Justin) Bowles, Abby Unger (deceased), Taylor (Ryan) Mavis of Baltimore, Ohio, Mitch (Ricki) Miller of Glouster and B.J. (Amie) Unger of Chillicothe; great grandchildren, Nick Cash, Drew Bowles, Braxton and Brock Unger, and Rowen Mavis; and a sister, Anna Marie Simpkins of Lancaster.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Pugh; an infant son, James Pugh; sisters, Barbara Wyatt, Donna Collins, and Alice Barnhart; and brothers, Charles and Richard Smith.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Kimes Nursing and Rehab Center for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Judy during her stay. Special thanks are also extended to Betty Dunlevy and her family for their unwavering love and support. Their presence and assistance meant a great deal to Judy’s family.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rocky Exline officiating. Interment will be in the Glouster Cemetery.
