Josephine Ley McGee

Josephine Ley McGee, 92, of Glouster, passed
away Thursday September 23, 2004 at her
residence. She was born April 9, 1912 in
Athens County. She was the daughter of the
late Henry P. and Goldie Marie Moorefield Ley.
She was the wife of the late George W. McGee.
She retired from the Athens County Auditor's
Office. She also worked at the Goldberg Store
in Glouster. She was a member of the Holy
Cross Catholic Church in Glouster.

She is survived by a daughter Janie (Tom)
Roback of Glouster, a son Dave McGee of
Glouster, 5 grandchildren Jon, Jeff, and Jerry
Johnston, George Roback and Katie Hooper, 17
great grandchildren and several great great
grandchildren, one brother Lawrence Ley of
Corpus Cristi, TX, one sister Mary Dempsey of
Norwalk, OH.

Besides her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by one daughter Mona Jo
Johnston, 2 granddaughters Jo Denise Bolin and
Jane Ann Johnston, and 2 brothers Charles and
Robert Ley.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday September 29, 2004 at the Holy Cross
Catholic Church, Glouster with Father John
Mucha officiating. Interment will be in
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call
at the church on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. where
there will be a wake service held at 8:30 p.m.
and also friends may call on Wednesday one hour
prior to the service. Arrangements are by the
Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
