John Ray Dixon, 47 of Glouster passed away
Saturday June 27, 2009 at his residence. He
was born January 4, 1962 in Nelsonville. He
was an army veteran, a member of the roofer's
local #86 in Columbus, and was a Trimble
Township youth league baseball coach for
several years.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce A. Malone
Dixon of Glouster; his wife Marcy Doughty
Dixon of Glouster; four sons, Kyle Ray
(Amanda) Dixon, Anthony W. Dixon, Trey D.
Dixon, and Jordan A. Dixon, all of Glouster;
two daughters, Kris E. and Karessa D. Dixon,
both of Glouster; seven grandchildren which
were his pride and joy, Skylar, Kenlynn,
Payton, Cameron, Kylee, Tucker, and Aidan;
two brothers, Larry A. (Karla) and Matt W.
(Jane) Dixon, both of Glouster; paternal
grandmother, Grace Rankin; and maternal
grandmother, Anna Malone.
He was preceded in death by his father, John
W. Dixon; a grandfather, Lawrence "Dick"
Malone; and an infant sister, Teresa D. Dixon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Friday July 3, 2009 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. Interment will
be in the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster.
