Jo Ellen "Jodi" (Sanders) Ratliff

Jo Ellen Ratliff (Jodi Craig), 62, passed away on July 6th, 2025 after a very brief, courageous battle with Stage 4 cancer at the Kobacker House with Joe Ratliff, her dedicated husband and partner of 26 years by her side. She was known by others as Wife, Mom, Momma J, Daughter, Sister, Grandma, Aunt, Cousin, Jo, or Friend.

She was born on October 20th, 1962 in Nelsonville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Sally K Sanders and the late Richard L Sanders. She was employed at the Ohio University Inn and worked as a Hostess.

Jo Ellen was a member of the Jacksonville Eagles. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, dogs, and being outdoors. She also loved taking motorcycle and pontoon rides with her husband. She will be remembered by her independent, strong-willed positive mindset, kindness, and her ability to light up a room.

She is survived by her mother, Sally Sanders of Glouster; brother, Don Sanders of Glouster; 7 children, Steven Craig of Hollister; Sarena (Josh) Bagent of Laurelville; Greg Ratliff of Roseville; Ryan Ratliff of Crooksville; Jasmine White of East Fultonham; Will Ratliff of Summerville,SC; Lacey (Robert) Frisby of Crooksville; Grandchildren Macinsey Cooper, Ella White, Piper Bagent, Easton James, Jaxson and Nova Frisby, Ashton Ratiff; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard L Sanders.

The Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m at Morrison Funeral Chapel (6525 S SR-78, Glouster OH). Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Chapel from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at Concord Cemetery. Following inurnment, we invite friends and family to join us for a celebration of Jo’s life at Ohio University Inn (331 Richland Avenue, Athens OH). Please come to share stories, laughter, and remembrance. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bishopville Food Pantry.
