Janet K. Grandy Brunton, 68 of Nelsonville
formerly of Reynoldsburg passed away Monday
August 6, 2007 at the Ohio State University
Medical Center, Columbus. Born August 23,
1938 in Trimble, she was the daughter of the
late Virgil M. and Goldie F. Lantz Grandy.
She retired from the Harts department store in
Reynoldsburg, and was also employed by the
Transportation Accessories in New Albany.
Janet was an avid bowler.
She is survived by 1 son, James L. (Mary)
Brunton of Reynoldsburg; 3 daughters, Melissa
(Robert) Elkins of South Bloomingville,
Deborah (Thomas) Newsome of Reynoldsburg, and
Nancy (Ronald) Westhoven of Sugar Grove; 10
grandchildren, Robert Elkins II, James L.
Brunton III, Kenneth Brunton, Joshua Elkins,
Jennifer Powers, Nickole Westhoven, Janet
Elkins, John Westhoven, Samantha Newsome, and
Angela Newsome; 2 great grandchildren, Collin
and McKenzie Elkins; 2 brothers, Charles (Ann)
Grandy of Lake Whales, FL, and Virgil "Dick"
(Caroline) Grandy of Buchtel; 2 sisters, Veda
(Clarence) Willis of Baltimore, OH, and Ida
(Chet) Keith of Glouster; several nieces and
nephews; and a special friend Phyllis Waddell.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Friday August 10, 2007 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Dave
Shoemaker and John Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery,
Glouster. Friends may call at the funeral
home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
