James Franklin "Julio" Barnett, 60, of Athens,
passed away Sunday April 30, 2006 in
Glouster. He was born June 13, 1945 in
Pittsburgh, Pa. He had a life long career as
a truck driver. He was a Vietnam Army
Veteran. He was a life member of The Plains
V.F.W. Post #7174.
He is survived by a daughter, Tanya Noland and
her special friend Tim Hill of Glouster; a
special granddaughter, Brittany Noland of
Glouster; his mother, Gathel Shaffer of
Pomeroy; 1 sister, Linda Nease of Portland,
Oh; 2 brothers, Thomas Shaffer of Gallipolis
and Robert Shaffer of Marietta; a former wife
and friend, Bonnie Fleming; special friends
whom he thought of as brothers, Tim (Kathy)
Whiteman and Toby (Carolyn) Bell; a son-in-
law, Jim Noland of Malta; a host of friends;
and his dear companion, his dog Casey.
He was preceded in death by his great
grandparents who raised him, George and
Tybatha Barnett.
The family would like to extend a special

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on
Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Bill
Hixson officiating. Interment will be in the
Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, where there will
be a Military Graveside Service conducted by
the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 to
