Ida Mae Gardner, 85 of Middleport, formerly of
Glouster passed away Wednesday February 13,
2008 at the Overbrook Rehabilitation Center,
Middleport. Born January 3, 1923 in Pomeroy,
she was the daughter of the late William and
Helen Terrell Funk. She was a retired Nursing
Assistant and a member of the Bradbury Church
of Christ in Middleport.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Helen (Jack)
Moore of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Jacquelyn,
Stephanie, and Malinda; 2 brothers, Robert
Funk Sr. of Glouster and Jack Funk of
Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Jack Gardner; 2 brothers,
Charles and William Funk; and 1 sister,
Virginia Cheatam.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Saturday February 16, 2008 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Tom
Runyon officiating. Interment will be in the
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12
p.m. until the time of service. Contributions
