Howard L. Miller Sr.

Howard L. Miller Sr., 68 of Glouster passed
away Monday December 29, 2008 at his
residence. He was born February 8, 1940 in
Walton, WV. He and his son, Howard Jr., owned
and operated H & H Miller Small Engines in
Glouster. He enjoyed car racing, fishing, and
playing horse shoes.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years,
Barbara Conway Miller of Glouster; his mother,
Sybil Koon Miller of Logan; three sons, Howard
(Sue Ann) Miller Jr. of Glouster, William
(Nikki) Miller of Chauncey, and Robert
(Brenda) Miller of New Straitsville; one
daughter, Rosa Hickman of Warsaw, KY; thirteen
grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Drew,
Rosemary, Cara, Pat, Trevor, Brennan, Kiera,
Kelsea, Maddie, Dylan, and Austin; six
brothers, Larry, Donald and Lennie Miller all
of Glouster, Jerry (Lula) Board and Larry
(Gaye) Board, both of West Virginia, and James
(Donna) Board of Tennessee; two sisters,
Brenda (Gary) Hogue and Betty Love, both of
Glouster; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his biological
father, Otmer Board; his father, Virgil
Miller; a brother-in-law, Charles Love Sr.;
and a nephew, Rusty Love.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday January 3, 2009 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rev.
James Brown officiating. Interment will be in
the Taylor Ridge Cemetery, Glouster. Friends
may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2
