Helen Romanowski, 86 of Jacksonville passed
away Wednesday July 23, 2008 at the Pickering
House of Lancaster. Born March 7, 1922 in
Redtown, she was the daughter of the late
Frank and Agnes Cominski Hobocienski. She was
the wife of the late Caustic Romanowski. She
formerly worked at McBee's in Athens and was a
member of the Glouster Holy Cross Catholic
Church.
She is survived by one son, Paul John
Romanowski of Lancaster; one daughter, Connie
Doubler of Lancaster; four grandchildren,
Brent Romanowski, David Romanowski, Eric
Doubler, and Lisa Doubler; six great
grandchildren, Joshua, Seth, Matthew, Michael,
and Alexa Romanowski, and Kevin Doubler; three
brothers, Leo Hobocienski of California, Joe
Lasko of Lithopolis, and Jim Lasko of Heath;
and two sisters, Eunice Tinsley of
Jacksonville and Margaret Heffken of Coshocton.
Besides her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by one brother, Walter
Hobocienski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10:00 a.m. on Monday July 28, 2008 at the Holy
Cross Catholic Church in Glouster with Father
Dave Cornett officiating. Interment will be
in the Queen of Heaven cemetery, Trimble.
Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville on Sunday from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where there will be a
wake service held at 7:30 p.m. Contributions
