Garnet V. James Wolfe, 86 of Murray City
passed away Wednesday January 30, 2008 at the
Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.
Born April 24, 1921 in Hocking County, she was
the daughter of the late Clark and Alma
Burgess James. She was a 1937 graduate of
Carbon Hill High School and was formerly
employed by Krogers in Murray City. She was a
62 year lifetime member and former secretary
of the Murray City American Legion Post #420,
the Murray City United Methodist Church, and a
former member of the Murray City School PTO.
Garnet was a devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by 1 son, Dennis D. Wolfe of
Murray City; 1 daughter, Karen (Frank)
Joudvlakis of Columbus; a special grandson,
Jason Gaenzle of Hiram, Ohio; 2 step
grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Ronald)
Starkey of Logan; a first cousin, Albina
Houston of Columbus; and several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Dan G. Wolfe Jr.; a stillborn
son, Michael Wolfe; and a brother, Harold
James.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Tuesday February 5, 2008 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
Interment will be in the New Straitsville
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral
home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where there will
be a Lady's Auxiliary Service held at 7:30
