Frances J. Sayre, 85 of Jacksonville passed
away Friday April 6, 2007 at the O'Bleness
Memorial Hospital, Athens. Born July 26, 1921
in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the
late Joe and Grace Brown Judson and the wife
of the late Harry A. Sayre. She retired from
the Athens Mental Health Center. She was a
member of the Jacksonville United Methodist
Church.
She is survived by 1 son, Robert (Frances)
Sayre of Jacksonville; 1 daughter, Jo (Jerry)
Taylor of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Sharon
Sayre of Murray City; 7 grandchildren; 12
great grandchildren, Nick, Morgan, Allie,
Kate, Macey, Terri, Madylin, Seth, Brandon,
Samantha, Nick, and Heath; 2 sisters, Joan
Marshall of Salem, Ohio and Dorothy Withem of
Jacksonville; and a host of relatives and
friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was
preceded in death by a son, Larry A. Sayre; a
granddaughter, Terri Ann Helsel; and a great
grandson, Andrew Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Monday April 9, 2007 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Pastor Clyde
Boring officiating. Interment will be in the
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8
