Frances Nogrady

Frances E. Nogrady, 84, of Jacksonville, passed
away Tuesday February 7, 2006 at the Hickory
Creek Nursing Home, The Plains. She was born
December 2, 1921 in Athens County. She was the
daughter of the late Frank and B. Marie Boyer
Strausbaugh. She was the wife of the late Alex
Nogrady. She retired from the housekeeping
department at Ohio University. She was the
past president of the Jacksonville Senior
Citizens and the Honorary Grand Marshall of the
2000 Old Settler's parade.

She is survived by 1 son, Alex R. Nogrady Jr.
of Southgate, MI.; 3 granddaughters, Amy
Nogrady, Laura Nogrady, and Alisha Toay; 8
great grandchildren; 3 great great
grandchildren; 1 sister, Freda (Jack) Cassady
of Malta; special nieces Rhonda Smith, Chris
Manter, Tina Shrewsberry, and Linda Sluss and
several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Danny
Nogrady and 3 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on
Saturday February 11, 2006 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rev.
Hal Keeton officiating. Interment will be in
the Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8
