Elva Edward Archey

Elva Edward (Ed) Archey, age 85, passed away Tuesday September 3, 2024, at Altercare of Canal Winchester, Ohio.  He was a son of the late Elva & Eva (Holbert) Archey, born on Dec. 14, 1938 in Greenup, KY.  After moving to Portsmouth, Ohio, Ed worked on a small family farm & later worked for Cummings Trucking and retired with many years of Service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 5 sisters & 3 brothers.

 He is survived by 2 sisters Joy (Dave) Shaffer of Carroll, OH, and Donna (Chuck) Warden of Etna, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. 

Per Ed’s wishes there will be no visitation or memorial service, and cremation has taken place.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
