Dorothy Jo Patterson

Dorothy Jo "Cookie" Patterson, 62 of
Jacksonville passed away Saturday July 18,
2009 at the O'Bleness Memorial Hospital,
Athens. Born October 17, 1946 in Glouster,
she was the daughter of the late Willie and
Eleanor Lowery Patterson. She retired from
Goodyear in Logan after 33 years. She was a
member of the Oakdale Church of Christ, and
served on the Old Settlers Reunion Committee
in Jacksonville.

She is survived by one son, Charles
William "Butch" Patterson of Jacksonville; one
brother, Douglas Dirk Patterson of
Jacksonville; one sister, Trina (Paul) Woods
of Redtown; three nephews, Larry Patterson and
family, Ryan (Alicia) Woods, and Matt (Ashley
Fouts) Woods; and a great nephew, Garrett
Woods.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by an infant son, Dustin Lee Patterson; two
brothers, Victor Lovelace and Clyde "Brownie"
Patterson; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Tuesday July 21, 2009 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. Interment will
be in the Beechgrove Cemetery, Perry County.
