Dorothy M. Murphy

Dorothy M. Murphy, 84 of Glouster passed away
Thursday November 26, 2009 at the Hickory
Creek Nursing Center, The Plains. Born April
25, 1925 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of
the late Walter Harvey and Cordie McDonald.
She attended the Lathrop Church and several
other churches in the area.

She is survived by her husband, Jim A. Murphy
of Glouster; three sons, James R. (Debbie)
Murphy, Dusty (Elaine) Murphy, and Randy
(Becky) Murphy, all of Glouster; one daughter,
Naketa (Lee) Martin of Malta; thirteen
grandchildren; several great grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by a son, Brent Murphy and several brothers
and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Monday November 30, 2009 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Curt
Cable officiating. Interment will be in the
Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may
call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. A comforting message may be
