Donald "DJ" Bernard

Donald L. "DJ" Bernard, 32 of Corning, passed away Saturday September 27, 2025, in Corning as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born on October 21, 1992, in Athens to Donald L. and Michele Spears Bernard. 

He previously worked at Plaskolite in Zanesville. Most recently, he began a new position as a laborer with Midwest Fabricating in Amanda.  He enjoyed motorcycles and fast cars.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Brittany Crawford; daughters, Leona and Ora Crawford; brothers, Matthew (Randi) Spears of Corning, Greg (Haley) Bernard of New Lexington, Brandon (Macey) Bernard of Corning, and Tyler (Krysta) Bernard of Corning; 9 nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Samuel and Betty Spears and Bonard and Nelle Bernard; and cousins Timothy Spears, Brianna Miller, and Jacob Barnhart.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday October 2, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Rick Seiter officiating.  Interment will be in the Beechgrove Cemetery, Perry County.  Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.  Contributions can be made to Morrison Funeral Chapel, 6525 State Route 78, Glouster, Ohio 45732 to assist with final expenses.  A message of comfort may be sent to the family at www.morrisonfc.com.
