David Michael Wooten Jr. “Hikey”, 33 of Glouster passed away on Thursday July 23, 2026, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born January 26, 1993, in Athens.   He was in the Laborer’s Union Local 423.  David was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, gardening, camping, and muscle cars. He was especially known for drifting his cars, a hobby that often left him going through plenty of tires.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Diana and Bill Fulton; his father, David Wooten Sr.; his fiancé, Miranda Bowe; brothers, Gary Wooten (Chelsie Withem) and Christian Wooten (Ma’Kenna Zimmerman); step brothers, Tyler and Dustin Fulton; step children, Naviah Bowe and Brentley Taylor; nieces and nephews, Adalynn, Gavin, Weston and Olivia Wooten; grandparents, Gary and Donna Hogsett and Deb Turner; aunt and uncle, Tammy Ballard and Frankie Hogsett; close friends, Jason Gambill, J.R. Morris, James Warne, and Ethan McKee; and his dog, Meco.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Esther Turner.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cindy Hicks Doughty and Pam West for their assistance and care during David’s illness.
