David A. Keirns, 19, of Malta passed away
Tuesday July 6, 2004 at O'Bleness Memorial
Hospital, Athens. He was born November 26,
1984 in Athens, Ohio.
He attended Ohio University majoring in
Meteorology, and he also worked in the mail
department at Ohio University, he was formerly
the student manager at the Boyd Dining Hall at
Ohio University, he was a member of the
Trimble Twp. Lions Club. He was a 2003 graduate
from Trimble High School where he was a member
of the National Honor Society, he received the
Congressional Recognition for Entrepreneurship
for creating a mock business at Trimble High
School, he formerly played football for the
Alexander School District, he was an avid
outdoorsman and also enjoyed working with
automobiles.
He is survived by his mother and step father,
Jacqueline and Scott Sinclair of Malta, father
and step mother Dave and Karen Keirns of
Millfield, 2 step brothers Nicolas and Mark
Sinclair of Malta, 2 step sisters Angie
Richards and her fiance Jason Ashcraft of
Millfield and Brittany Richards of Raleigh,
N.C., paternal grandmother Helen Keirns, step
maternal grandparents Ralph and Carol Crabtree,
step paternal grandparents Boyd and Irene
Sinclair, maternal aunts and uncles Dee and
Will Blake, Charles and Latna Malone, Kenneth
Malone, Beckie and Jay Blake, Randall and Amber
Malone, and Caryn Seiferth, paternal aunts and
uncles Sharon and Phillip Crowder, Don and Sue
Keirns and Kay Marks, maternal step aunts and
uncles Laura Crabtree and Dave and Sue
Crabtree, paternal step aunt and uncle Ashley
and John Carpenter, nephew and niece Jacob
Ashcraft and Cheyenne Richards and several
other nieces and nephews and a special friend
Tina McDowell.
He was preceded in death by maternal
grandparents Colton and Barbara Malone,
paternal grandfather Sidney "Jack" Keirns and
cousin Travis Nott.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday July 10, 2004 at the Bishopville
Church of Christ with John Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery,
Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 2 to
8 p.m. at the Church. and Saturday one hour
prior to the service. Arrangements are by the
Morrison Funeral Chapel Glouster-Bishopville.
