Clarence Spears Obituary

Clarence J. Spears, 67 of Chauncey passed away
Sunday June 25, 2006 at Doctor's Hospital,
Nelsonville. He was born August 27, 1938 in
Morgan County. He was the son of the late
Mahlon and Ada Green Spears. He was an Army
Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alvira Rutter
Spears of Chauncey; 3 sons, Billy Joe Spears
of Nelsonville, Charles Spears of Nelsonville,
and Jonathan Spears of Chauncey; 5 daughters,
Kathy Randolph of Columbus, Pam Herring of
Columbus, Alvira Tyler of Athens, Amanda
Spears of The Plains, and Ellen Spears of
Chauncey; 18 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Mahlon
Lee Spears and Ronald Spears both of Glouster;
and 1 sister, Donna I. Hoppstetter of
Glouster.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by a brother, Jerry Spears; a sister Delores
Rutter; his paternal grandmother Ethel Spears
and his father-in-law, Joe Edward Rutter.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Thursday June 29, 2006 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel with Pastor Dave Taylor officiating.
Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery,
Millfield where there will be a military
graveside service conducted by the Combined
Color Guard Unit. Friends may call at the
funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. A
