Charles W. Beard

Charles W. Beard, 83, of Glouster passed away
Tuesday May 24, 2005 at Doctor's Hospital,
Nelsonville. Born August 4, 1921 in Morgan
County, he was the son of the late Ernest L.
and Mary P. Mills Beard. He was a former
Pastor of the Spencer Ridge Church, Federal
Valley Church, and Vore Ridge Church. He also
worked as a school bus driver for the Morgan
County Schools and was employed by Homer
Township and also enjoyed farming. He is a
member of the Scioto Valley Christian
Conference, where he was a former Vice
President and former Secretary.

He is survived by his wife Mary Margaret Stahl
Beard of Glouster; 4 sons; Ernest C. (Judy)
Beard of Lancaster, Michael E. (Patty) Beard
of Webster, NY, Charles T. (Paula) Beard of
Glouster, and John Beard of Glouster, 7
grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 1 brother
Gerald W. (Florence) Beard of Chesterhill, 1
sister; Effie Dolan of Glouster.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by a daughter-in-law, Charlene Beard.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Friday May 27, 2005 at the Morrison Funeral
Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Evangelist
Monte Hurst officiating. Interment will be in
the Mountville Cemetery, Morgan County.

Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A
