Bobby G. Spears, 68 of Glouster, passed away Friday September 5, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 6, 1957, a son of the late Jimmy and Genevieve Misner Spears. He previously worked as a truck driver for Kilbarger’s and was a member of both the Jacksonville Eagles #1034 and VFW #9866.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas (Melena White) Spears of Crooksville and Jeffrey (Crystal Smith) Spears of Lancaster; two daughters, Bobbi (Yurii) Billiel of Glouster and Tammy (Roger) Vickers of Albany; 13 grandchildren, Amber, Jerry, Kelsey, Ashley, Brandon, Zachary, Phillip, Tyler, Dillon, Morgan, Austin, Thomas Jr., and Kaitlyn; 16 great grandchildren; three brothers, George (Barbara Hermey) Spears, Ben Spears and Steve (Karen) Spears; four sisters, Kathy Miller, Judy Rutter, Carol (Kenny) Hoppstetter, and Brenda Vess; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Monty Christa, David Losey, and John Losey.
Besides his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Spears; two brothers, Thomas Spears and Jimmie Lee Spears; a great grandson Alexander Young; three brothers-in-law, Doug Miller, Wilbur Rutter and Tim Vess; and a sister-in-law Nancy Spears.
It was Bobby’s wish to be cremated, and no services will be observed at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be shared with the family by visiting his tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com.
