Betty L. Canter

Betty L. Canter, 78 of Nelsonville passed away
Saturday May 10, 2008 at the Logan Health Care
Center. Born August 12, 1929 in Jobs, Hocking
County, she was the daughter of the late
Howard M. and Garnetta Mae McClure Keeton.
She owned and operated the Wayside Inn in
Buchtel for 35 years. She was a member of the
Greens Run Church of Christ and a former
member of the Taylor Ridge Lady's Aid. She
attended Green's Run school and graduated from
J.T. high school, where she was the homecoming
queen her senior year.

She is survived by a daughter, Reba (Hobert)
Ackison of Nelsonville; a son, Robert "Bob"
(Lessia) Canter of Glouster; 8 grandchildren;
12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great
granddaughter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Otto "Buster" Canter.

At Betty's request, there will be no calling
hours or funeral services. Contributions can
be made to the American Diabetes Association,
PO Box 238, Hurricane, WV 25526. Arrangements
