Arvil Miller Obituary

Arvil R. Miller, age 62 of Glouster passed
away peacefully Friday night surrounded by his
loving family and friends after a courageous
two year battle with cancer. Born September
30, 1945 in Athens, he was the son of the late
Arvil and Pearl Miller. He was a 1963
graduate of J.T. High School and the Allied
School of Technology in Chicago. He was a
self employed carpenter and a partner in the
Jimmy B. Hot Nuts. He was a member of the
Glouster Church of Christ, the Glouster
Masonic Lodge #607, the Scottish Rite Bodies
in the Valley of Cambridge, the Aladdin
Shriners of Columbus, the Athens Elks Post
973, the Athens Amvets Post 76, and a board
member for the Trimble Textbook and Supplies
Foundation. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and
was an avid Nascar fan. He also enjoyed
traveling with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diana
of Glouster; a son, Arvil Jr. "Rob" (Rita)
Miller of Glouster; a daughter, Darci (Dale)
Ostrander of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; four
grandchildren, Taylor and Mitch Miller of
Glouster and Haley and Lauren Williams of
Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; and a sister,
Catherine (Roger) Barber of Sabina, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Tuesday August 19, 2008 at the Glouster Church
of Christ with Clifford Smith officiating.
Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery,
Glouster. Friends may call at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville on Monday
from 2 to 8 p.m.where there will be a Masonic
Service held at 7:30 p.m. Contributions can
be made to the Trimble Textbook and Supplies
Foundation, c/o Sandy Gyure, PO Box 187,
Glouster, Ohio 45732. A comforting message
