Albert Eugene Carsey, 64 of Nelsonville passed
away Monday September 3, 2007 at the Hocking
Valley Community Hospital, Logan. Born
December 4, 1942 in Athens County, he was the
son of the late Clarence A. and Maycle L.
Gilkey Carsey. He graduated from Shade High
School in 1962. He was a retired Aircraft
Mechanic. During his employment, he worked on
the C5-A at Lockheed Georgia, the B1 Bomber at
Rockwell International, and the DC10, MD 80 &
90 and the C17 at McDonald Douglas. His last
place of employment was at the Southern Air
Transportation out of Rickenbacher. During
his employment, he traveled extensively to
foreign countries for repair and modification
of aircraft. He was an avid dirt bike rider
and was a member of the American Motorcycle
Association District 11. He was a social
member of the Nelsonville V.F.W., a member of
the House of Prayer and Praise in Jacksonville
and the World Harvest Church. He also enjoyed
gardening and loved his pets.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl
Dunnington Carsey of Nelsonville; 1 brother,
Gary (Jenny) Carsey of Glouster; 1 sister,
Janet (Joe) Judson of Malta; and several
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death
by a brother, Roy Carsey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Friday September 7, 2007 at the Morrison
Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with the
Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will
be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.
